RK3506 is a new entry-level chip platform launched by Rockchip in the fourth quarter of 2024. It has a triple-core Cortex-A7 + single-core Cortex-M0 multi-core heterogeneous design, with industrial wide temperature performance of up to -40~85℃, low heat generation, rich IO interfaces, high immediacy, low latency, and fast response speed.

RK3506 Overview

The tactile intelligence RK3506 core board, based on Rockchip's new RK3506B/RK3506J, is widely used in smart home appliances, industrial control, handheld terminals, industrial IOT gateways and other fields. Built-in 2D hardware engine and display output engine to minimize CPU load and meet image display requirements. Built-in rich peripheral interfaces, such as SAI, PDM, SPDIF, audio DSM, audio ADC, USB2 OTG, RMII, CAN, etc., can meet different application development needs. Multi-system support

Rockchip RK3506 original factory released SDK to support Linux's new Kernel6.1 kernel, while supporting AMP multi-core heterogeneous system, and realized RTOS SMP mode for the first time on the Rockchip platform multi-core architecture, and added support for multi-core scheduling in the implementation system. The tactile intelligent RK3506 core board provides multiple Linux distributions including Buildroot, Debian, and Ubuntu.
